From Paris
2 1/2 hours by car
Leaving from Notre Dame
Take rue St. Jacques, through the 6th arr. into the 14th arr. Turn
right onto Blvd. Arago, at the roundabout (a large roundabout with a
statue of a Lion in the center) take Ave. du General Leclerc and follow
the signs for the A6 / Bordeaux, veer right onto Ave Jean Moulin and
(lookout for a Red tower like building) turn left onto the Périphérique
at Porte de Châtillon. Take the A6 / A6a direction Lyons / Bordeaux.
Then take the A10 direction Boedeaux / Nantes. After you pass through
the Péage (toll booth where you pick up your motorway ticket, that you
present at the toll collection booth when you exit off the motorway)
move to the right and take the A11 direction Nantes / Le Mans. Exit the
motor way at exit #11 Durtal / Le Lion d’Angers. At the roundabout take
the D859 to Châteauneuf-sur-Sarthe, at the roundabout at the end of the
village of Châteauneuf-sur-Sarthe take the D770 direction Champigné. At
the roundabout in Champigné take the D290 direction Querré, the road
veers sharply to the left in the village of Querré, stay on the D290
which crosses the river Mayenne into Chambellay. Drive through the
village and just at the end of the village you will find Le Verger on
the right hand side.
From Angers
1/2 hour by car
Leaving from the Railway Station (Gare Angers St. Laud)
At the roundabout in front of the station take the 3rd street which is
Terrasse J. Dauban at the next roundabout take rue Marceau and at the
next roundabout which has the statue du Roi René turn left onto Blvd.
General de Gaulle, drive parallel to the castle walls staying in the
left lane, turn left at the lights onto the D23 (do not cross the
river). Take the D106 exit direction Avrillé / Montreuil-Juigné /
Bouchemaine / Beacoouzé and follow the directions for Laval when you
arrive at a roundabout which has two roads one in the direction A11 /
le Lion d’Angers and the other Laval / Chateau-Gontier (N162). Take the
N162 direction Laval / Chateau-Gontier, after 6 kilometers turn right
onto the D78 / Chambellay. After 1.5 kilometers Le Verger is on the
left hand side just as you enter the village of Chambellay.
From Nantes
1 hour by car
Take the A11 towards Angers. Take the D106 exit direction Avrillé /
Montreuil-Juigné / Bouchemaine / Beacoouzé exit and follow the
directions for Laval when you arrive at a roundabout which has two
roads one in the direction A11 / le Lion d’Angers and the other Laval /
Chateau-Gontier (N162). Take the N162 direction Laval /
Chateau-Gontier, after 6 kilometers turn right onto the D78 /
Chambellay. After 1.5 kilometers Le Verger is on the left hand side
just as you enter the village of Chambellay.
